Rental prices set for new apartments on Toftanesvegi in Fuglafjørður

The rental cost for new apartments on Toftanesvegi in Fuglafjørður has been set at between 11,166 kroner and 12,186 kroner per month. These apartments, ranging from 94 to 104 square meters, were put on the market by Bústaðir last Friday.

Hjørdis Gaard Lailudóttir, the acting director at Bústaðir, stated that the rental prices reflect the construction costs of the building.

Earlier this year, Bústaðir had released new apartments in Streymnes at a similar price point as those in Fuglafjørður. However, there was little interest in those units, leading Bústaðir to reduce the rent by approximately 1,000 kroner per month.

In contrast, the acting director expects there will be no need to lower rents for the new apartments on Toftanesvegi, as interest has been significantly high since their unveiling on Friday.

The total construction cost for the 18 apartments on Toftanesvegi amounts to 42 million kroner, resulting in a cost per square meter of 23,529 kroner, excluding VAT.
