Stabbing incident in Jyväskylä leaves 6th-grade student from Kuokkala Unified School injured

In Jyväskylä, a stabbing incident involving a minor has left a 6th-grade student from Kuokkala Unified School as the victim. The school communicated this information through the messaging platform Wilma on Monday afternoon, with the consent and request of the victim’s guardian. Fortunately, the victim is not in life-threatening condition.
The school has informed parents that the matter has been addressed with the relevant classes and has offered student support services and additional assistance to help process the situation.
On the same day, specialized youth workers from the city’s Anchor Team have been present at the school to support the young students. Additionally, they will be available at Kuokkala youth facilities on Tuesday from 2 PM to 4 PM for students in grades 5 and 6.
The school advises parents to listen attentively to their children and to reach out to the school or student support services if they feel any need for additional support.
