Man charged with raping underage girl in a car on Seltjarnarnes
Iceland A man has been charged with rape after allegedly assaulting an underage girl in a car on Seltjarnarnes last November, mbl.is reports.
The indictment says the man parked at an unspecified location and, without the girl’s consent, used violence and unlawful coercion to grab her by the throat, making it difficult for her to breathe. He allegedly pulled her into the driver’s seat, kissed her on the mouth and bare breasts, placed her hand on his genitals and inserted his fingers into her vagina.
The girl sustained an injury to her neck and other injuries, according to the indictment. Her guardian is seeking four million Icelandic krónur in compensation for non-financial harm and 500,000 krónur in damages.
The case was brought before Reykjavik District Court on Monday.
