Boy charged with raping girl in Eastern Norway

A young boy has been charged with raping a 7-year-old girl. The alleged crime took place in Eastern Norway last summer when the boy had just turned 15, which is the age of criminal responsibility in Norway. Shortly after the supposed assault, he is also reported to have attempted to persuade the girl’s 8-year-old brother to engage in sexual acts with her.

The boy, now 16, faces additional charges for showing the 7-year-old images or videos depicting adults in sexual acts.

At this time, the defense attorney has not provided any comments regarding the case, leaving it unclear how the accused intends to respond to the serious allegations. The attorney representing the victims has also been unavailable for comment. Attempts to reach the prosecutor in the matter have been unsuccessful.

The court proceedings are scheduled to take place over two days this fall.
