Defence Forces have mostly resolved bonus-card misuse cases

The Finnish Defence Forces have mostly completed investigations into suspected misuse of bonus cards, Yle reports, citing Uutissuomalainen.

Criminal investigations began in some cases in February, but no one has been convicted. Most cases that reached the criminal investigation stage ended with prosecutors deciding not to bring charges, while some proceedings are still ongoing. No dismissals have resulted from the cases.

The Defence Forces’ General Staff told Uutissuomalainen that some cases led to a supervisor speaking with an employee, while a few resulted in written warnings.

Most of the cases did not involve misuse of bonus cards. In some, for example, loyalty-programme details were recorded without the person’s involvement, Uutissuomalainen reported.
