It remains unclear whether the Faroe Islands will introduce an 18-year age limit for energy drink sales, KVF reports. Business Affairs Minister Jacob Vestergaard has not yet decided whether to support the measure.
Former Business Affairs Minister Eirikur í Jákupstovu questioned in radio news on Sunday why the ban had not already taken effect, saying a regulation had been drawn up.
Vestergaard said he was not aware of the regulation. The Health Authority has clearly recommended introducing an age limit for energy drinks sold in the Faroe Islands, but Vestergaard said he was not yet convinced.
“I first need to familiarise myself more closely with the matter,” he said.
