Newspapers reached 93 percent of Finns each week, while magazines reached 81 percent monthly, according to the National Media Study reported by Yle.
The figures include both printed and digital newspapers. The study found that Finns remain active readers of newspapers and magazines.
For the first time, the study asked about the use of artificial intelligence in media. Some 91 percent of respondents said they wanted to know if media content had been created using AI.
Seventy percent said they would be willing to pay for well-produced journalistic content.
The study was conducted by Fifty5Blue and received responses from more than 23,000 people aged over 15 in mainland Finland. It was commissioned by Media Metrics Finland, a joint audience measurement company for the Finnish media industry. The company includes all Finnish media organisations, from Alma Media to Yleisradio.
