Road safety council says Faroese traffic has become safer

Faroese traffic has become safer over the past 50 years, according to Lovisa Glerfoss, director of the Road Safety Council. Kringvarp Føroya reported the comments on Tuesday at a celebration marking the council’s 50th anniversary.

The event was held at Perlan on Tórsgøta in Tórshavn.

The council has long called for an accident investigation commission for traffic crashes. It also says the road safety plan needs to be reviewed.
