Vänsterpartiet gains respite but election crisis continues

Vänsterpartiet’s handling of its crisis has given the party some breathing room, but the crisis is not over, according to an analysis by SVT’s political commentator Mats Knutson.

Mohamed Abdukardir Ali’s timeout is described as a result of emergency crisis management. However, suspicions of election fraud have once again highlighted the party’s inadequate control over its candidate lists.

SVT’s analysis says the issue continues to put pressure on Vänsterpartiet and party leader Nooshi Dadgostar.
