Police seek witnesses after Havn shop burglary

Police are seeking witnesses after a burglary at the Á-handil shop on Landavegur in Havn, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

The burglary took place between 11.30pm on Sunday and 5am on Monday. The thief or thieves broke a window and entered the shop building’s office, where they forced open a safe and took a large amount of cash.

Police duty supervisor Rúni Vesturklett said he would not disclose how much money was stolen. Officers are examining surveillance footage and questioning people in the neighbourhood.

Police are also asking anyone who may have seen something in the area between 11.30pm on Sunday and 5am on Monday to contact them on 351448.
