39-year-old man charged with homicide in Esbjerg

A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged with homicide after a 37-year-old man was found dead at an address in Esbjerg on Monday morning, DR reports.
South and South Jutland Police received a report of a dead person on E. Hansens Vej shortly before 8am. Officers who arrived at the address confirmed that the 37-year-old was dead.
The man’s relatives have been notified.
Police are investigating the death as a killing because of circumstances surrounding it. The force has not disclosed what specifically led it to suspect homicide.
The investigation is being conducted with assistance from the National Criminalistics Centre and the Institute of Forensic Medicine.
Police remained at the scene, and E. Hansens Vej was closed between N. J. Poulsens Vej and Grådybet. Officers said they expected to remain there for several more hours while examining the address and its surroundings.
Police said they had no further information for the sake of the investigation.
