A fire broke out at the cooling tower of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine today, which is currently under Russian control. The governor of the Zaporizhzhia region reported via the messaging app Telegram that the fire occurred following Ukrainian shelling of the town of Energodar. President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine dismissed these claims, attributing the incident to Russian actions. Both Ukrainian and Russian authorities have reported no signs of increased radiation levels.
