Norwegian rejects extra Iceland flights despite looming Icelandair strike

Norwegian will not add flights to Iceland next week despite a looming strike by Icelandair aircraft technicians, mbl.is reported.

“We have not added flights to Iceland for next week. We are already using all our capacity to maintain our schedule,” Catharina Solli, Norwegian’s head of media relations, told mbl.is.

Solli was asked whether Norwegian planned to compensate for cancelled Icelandair flights by increasing its services to Iceland. She said it did not.

mbl.is also contacted Scandinavian Airlines and the British airline easyJet with the same question, but neither had responded when the article was published.
