Parliament to receive briefing on military exercise

The Faroese parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee will be briefed on the military exercise in Vestmanna on Friday morning, KVF reports.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs will also discuss foreign policy with the committee.
The exercise, Lion Protector 2026, begins next week, but the first personnel have already arrived in Vestmanna. Danish and British military personnel will establish a headquarters there during the exercise.
About 80 people are expected to be based at the harbour headquarters.
The Joint Expeditionary Force is organising the exercise. The participating countries are the United Kingdom, Denmark, the Netherlands and the Baltic countries. Vørn will also take part.
