The official residence of Finland’s president in Mäntyniemi, Helsinki, is holding an open day today, Yle reports.
The public can visit the residence from noon to 4 p.m. Visitors who join the queue at the gate by 4 p.m. will still be admitted.
Guests will walk from the gate to the main entrance and tour the official reception rooms. The route begins in the main hall and continues through Mäntyniemi’s small and large salons to the dining room before ending in the garden.
Mäntyniemi was designed by Raili and Reima Pietilä and began operating in 1993.
Renovation work at Mäntyniemi was completed earlier this year. The project renewed building systems, updated security measures and improved energy efficiency. Furniture and lighting fixtures were also restored.
