The Ministry of Justice has eliminated six full-time positions and informed employees of the resulting job losses, mbl.is reports.
Freyr Gígja Gunnarsson, the ministry’s communications officer, confirmed the changes. Vísir was the first to report them.
Two employees were dismissed as part of organisational changes, and their positions were eliminated. The ministry will also not fill two positions recently vacated by employees, while the temporary contracts of two other staff members will not be renewed.
Gunnarsson said the measures did not target any particular department. The six positions were spread across the ministry.
