Reykjanesbær unveils plans for new housing district

Reykjanesbær has presented plans for a new housing district at its business and construction conference, mbl.is reports. The event was broadcast live.

A declaration of intent to accelerate construction of a new detached housing neighbourhood at Ásbrú will also be signed by Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Daði Már Kristófersson, Mayor Vilhjálmur Árnason and Pálmi Freyr, chief executive of Kadeco.

The municipality’s extensive construction needs and investment plans by businesses will also be discussed.

Ingvar Eyfjörð, chief executive of Aðaltorg, Ásta S. Fjeldsted, chief executive of Festi, and Kári Marís Guðmundsson, chief executive of Algalíf, will take part in a panel discussion on business.
