Kringvarp Føroya reports that Jacob Vestergaard has rejected criticism from MP Bjarni Kárason Petersen over the extent of farm holders’ right of disposal.

Vestergaard said he was basing his position on the existing reality. He said Petersen had raised the question after reports that someone had begun charging for access to Kirkjubømúrin and Ólavskirkjan.

Petersen said he was unsure whether the response to his parliamentary question had been written by officials at the Ministry of Business Affairs or by an external lawyer.

Vestergaard declined to say who had written the response, but said he was responsible for it.

Another criticism concerned whether a farm holder should be regarded as an owner. Vestergaard said he stood by his position.
