Economic Council chair calls for faster green transition

Johnny í Grótinum, chairman of the Economic Council, has called for the green transition to be accelerated, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

He said there was no indication that peace would return to the Middle East soon. Since the United States and Israel attacked Iran in February, the Strait of Hormuz has repeatedly been closed.

On Friday, Saudi Arabia’s oil transport network, which runs from the Persian Gulf to the Red Sea, was bombed.

Í Grótinum also said it was sensible for the political system to support certain groups in society.

He made the comments on the Kringvarp Føroya radio programme Breddin.
