Banedanmark, Sorø, train delays

Extensive damage to overhead power equipment near Sorø will disrupt train services with cancellations and delays until Tuesday, DR reports.

Banedanmark expects work on the line between Ringsted and Slagelse to continue until 10 a.m. Tuesday after a fault in the overhead line system near Sorø.

One track has reopened after DSB halted train services around midday on Monday. Only one track is currently available, and trains are running to a reduced timetable.

DSB information chief Tony Bispeskov said international trains, InterCityLyn trains and InterCity trains would be prioritised. DSB says passengers should expect longer journey times and some cancellations.

Banedanmark received reports of problems with the electrical railway system between Sorø and Slagelse at 12.45 p.m. Monday. Train services were stopped completely while the cause was investigated.
