Juholt tells party leaders to act more like adults

Former Social Democratic leader Håkan Juholt has criticised the way party leaders behave on social media during the election campaign, telling SVT that there is too much fooling around.

“Behave more like adults,” Juholt said on the programme Skavlan & Sverige.

“It has become silly. I think we long for party leaders we can look up to and respect, rather than simply laugh at. It has gone too far,” he said.

Opinion writer and former Sweden Democrats politician Chang Frick pointed out that Juholt had also joked around during his time in politics.

“I was not a party leader then,” Juholt replied.
