Artist Harro Koskinen dies at 81

Artist Harro Koskinen has died at the age of 81, Yle reported on Saturday, citing information given to STT by Koskinen’s family.

Koskinen died in Turku on Saturday morning after a serious illness.

He was best known for his pig-themed works, several of which became icons of pop art and are held in the collections of art museums.

In the 1970s, Koskinen was convicted of blasphemy over his work Pig Messiah.
