Police charge man over hotel theft in Reykjavik

Police charged a man with theft at a centrally located hotel in Reykjavik overnight, mbl.is reports. It is not known what he is alleged to have stolen.

The information comes from the Reykjavik Metropolitan Police log covering the period from 5pm on Friday to 5am on Saturday.

Fifteen people were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs during the same period. One of them was also arrested on suspicion of drug distribution, money laundering and violating immigration laws.

Three people were charged with assault in central Reykjavik.
