Baby injured after stroller tipped over on Espoo bus
A baby suffered minor injuries when a stroller tipped over during a bus journey in Espoo in July, Yle reports. Police are investigating whether the driver should be suspected of endangering traffic safety and causing injury.
Jussi-Pekka Laaksonen, the detective chief inspector leading the investigation for the Western Uusimaa Police Department, said the incident was linked to the movement of the bus rather than the actions of passengers.
He said the bus ride had briefly become uneven enough for the stroller to tip over. There was a concrete risk that the baby’s injuries could have been more serious, he added.
Police are still seeking eyewitness accounts to clarify what happened. The bus was number 531 and was travelling from the direction of Espoo Centre towards Matinkylä at around 3.30pm on 15 July.
