SVT’s Morgonstudion covers elections, loans and boat crash trial

SVT’s Morgonstudion featured reports and discussions on international and Swedish politics, the economy, entertainment and a court case in its four-hour programme.

The programme included coverage of a historic Republican convention, negative campaigning during the election campaign and an election face-off between the Liberal Party and the Centre Party. It also featured a debate on children in prison and a question-and-answer segment with experts about the election.

Other reports examined billion-krona loans taken by artificial intelligence companies and whether they could push up Swedish mortgage rates, as well as the relocation of a Chinese town because of the risk of landslides.

The programme also covered singer Céline Dion’s comeback after six years and reported that the trial over a boat accident outside Tjörn was due to begin that day.
