Icelandair has temporarily changed its flight schedule to Akureyri and Egilsstaðir because one of its DHC 8 Q400 aircraft requires maintenance, mbl.is reports.
The changes will remain in place for the next few weeks. To limit their impact, the airline will add 15 extra services, or 30 flight legs, to the two destinations from 10 September and over the following two weeks.
Seat availability will be temporarily lower than usual, Icelandair said. The airline is working to maintain the best possible service and flight capacity for passengers and urged those planning domestic travel during this period to book in advance where possible.
