Icelandair flights to London remain scheduled despite UK disruption

Icelandair flights to London are operating as scheduled, although some delays may occur because of conditions at the city’s airports, mbl.is reports.

Ásdís Ýr Pétursdóttir, Icelandair’s director of communications, said the technical failure that caused widespread disruption to flights across the UK had been resolved.

A total of 177 flights to and from British airports have been cancelled today as airlines continue to deal with the effects of the failure, which occurred on Tuesday.

Three Icelandair flights were delayed and one was cancelled on Tuesday because of the disruption. Pétursdóttir said airlines were now working to clear the resulting backlog.
