Norrøna to try shore power at Seydisfjordur port

The ferry Norrøna is scheduled to receive electricity from shore when it arrives at the port of Seydisfjordur this morning, according to Austurfrétt.

The connection has been in preparation since 2021. The port master in Seydisfjordur told the newspaper that an earlier attempt to provide Norrøna with shore power did not go as planned.

The plan is now to try again on Wednesday morning.
