Western Norðstreymoy parish seeks temporary priest

KVF reports that the western Norðstreymoy parish district is seeking a substitute parish priest for a three-month position based in Vestmanna.
The temporary appointment will run from October 1 to December 31, 2026. The district includes the three parishes of Vestmanna, Kvívík and Kollafjørður.
The priest will also provide services outside the churches, including worship services and devotions at nursing and care homes, institutions and residential communities.
Lis Samuelsen has served as acting parish priest in the district for a year, but her appointment ends on September 30. The application deadline is September 17.
