Prosecutor charges man with manslaughter of relative in Raahe

Yle reports that a prosecutor has charged a man born in 1992 with manslaughter in connection with the death of his relative in Raahe.

The alleged offence took place on November 3 at a private residence in Raahe. The man is accused of striking the victim in the neck with a bladed weapon. The victim died from the injuries.

The application for a summons was submitted to the Oulu District Court on August 20. The main hearing is scheduled for December 17.

Police had initially suspected two people in connection with the death. The second person is no longer suspected.
