Police seek detention of four in Riihimäki murder investigation

Police are seeking the detention of three men and one woman in connection with a suspected homicide in Riihimäki, Yle reports.

One 27-year-old man is suspected of murder on probable cause. Police are seeking the detention of the other three on the lower threshold of reasonable suspicion.

The Kanta-Häme District Court is considering the detention requests on Monday. Police announced on Friday that they were investigating the case as a murder.

Police found a body last Thursday in an apartment on Otavankatu, in Riihimäki’s Peltosaari district.
