Traffic fell in three Faroese subsea tunnels in August

Traffic decreased in August compared with July in all of the Faroe Islands’ subsea tunnels except the Norðoya Tunnel, Kringvarp Føroya reports.
The Sandoy Tunnel recorded an average of 1,257 vehicles per day in August, down from 1,403 in July.
Average daily traffic in the Eysturoy Tunnel fell to 6,929 vehicles from 7,077, while the Vágar Tunnel recorded 3,808 vehicles, compared with 4,024 in July.
The Norðoya Tunnel was the only one to record an increase. Its average daily traffic rose to 5,349 vehicles in August from 4,703 in July.
