Police deal with disorder after Reykjanesbær festival

Police handled several incidents linked to intoxication and assaults after Ljósanótt, a town festival in Reykjanesbær, reached its peak on Saturday with a major concert followed by a fireworks display, mbl.is reported.

Four people were held in police cells, among other reasons for intoxication and physical assaults.

Police said no one was seriously injured. They also received reports of disorder, intoxication and property damage.

Several young people were reportedly intoxicated, which led to further disturbances.
