Power cuts hit parts of Reykjavík and Mosfellsbær

Power has been cut partly or completely in Grafarholt and Grafarvogur in Reykjavík, and Úlfarsárdalur in Mosfellsbær, mbl.is reports.

According to Silja Ingólfsdóttir, an information officer at utility company Veitur, staff are on their way to locate the cause of the outage.

“The fault must first be located, and then established procedures must be followed to restore power safely so that no one is injured,” Silja said.

Veitur’s website is also down, and work is under way to resolve the issue.
