Elderly woman dies after being trapped under car in Mikkeli

An elderly woman died after becoming trapped under a car in Rahula, Mikkeli, on Friday, Yle reported.

Police told the Finnish news agency STT that the car is believed to have rolled backwards, trapping the woman underneath. She died at the scene.

The South Savo Rescue Department said it lifted the vehicle to free her.

Emergency services received the call from Kuvaalantie at about 8.30pm.

Police do not suspect a crime.
