Visitors charged 150 kroner to see relatives’ graves

A visit to the Faroe Islands ended unexpectedly for Torstein Krebs Niclasen after he and others were charged 150 kroner each to enter a cemetery, Kringvarp Føroya reported.

The group wanted to visit their ancestors at the cemetery in Kirkjubø. They said they only wanted to visit their grandmother’s and grandfather’s graves, but that did not change the charge.
