Peter Tulinius Karup takes over as Nordic House director

Kringvarp Føroya reported that Peter Tulinius Karup has taken over as director of the Nordic House, a cultural centre in the Faroe Islands.

Karup began the job earlier this week, succeeding Gunn Hernes, who led the Nordic House for eight years. He said the institution plays an important role as a cultural centre.

He said he was impressed by the cultural life in the Faroe Islands, which he described as being of a high standard.

Karup has studied and worked in the cultural sector in Denmark, Norway, England and Germany. Since 2019, he has been director of Harstad Kulturhus in Norway.
