Church of the Faroe Islands seeks vicar for Nes pastorate role
The Church of the Faroe Islands is currently seeking a vicar to assist within the diocese.
The new vicar will serve as an active parish priest in the Nes pastorate, with the position being part of a trial initiative.
The role includes leading services in church congregations that have fewer than 400 members.
This is a full-time position for a duration of one year, conducted in cooperation with local parish priests.
However, there is no provision for a service residence associated with this role.
The appointment is expected to be effective from September 1, or as soon as possible thereafter.
The application deadline is set for noon on August 20.
Candidates must hold a bishop’s examination as a prerequisite for their application to be considered.
