Confirmed cases of chickenpox and respiratory syncytial virus infection will have to be reported from 1 November, SVT reports, citing a press release from the Public Health Agency.
Healthcare providers will be required to report confirmed cases to the regional communicable disease control physician and the Public Health Agency.
The agency said the measure is intended to improve infectious disease control through stronger monitoring and follow-up of the two diseases. The requirement follows a government decision to amend the Communicable Diseases Ordinance.
