Pihlajalinna reports significant profit increase but revenue decline in half-year results
Several domestic publicly traded companies are releasing their half-year reports today, Friday. Pihlajalinna, a healthcare service company, reported a significant increase in its operating profit for the second quarter of the year, rising by over 50% compared to the same period last year. The adjusted operating profit before depreciation and impairment was €11.4 million, up from €7.3 million in the previous year.
However, the company’s revenue saw a decline of 4.8%, totaling €174.8 million. In its half-year report, Pihlajalinna indicated that it expects revenue to continue to decrease this year due to the transfer of costs for specialized medical care to the South Ostrobothnia wellbeing services district, which took effect at the beginning of the year.
Further updates will be provided.
