Kringvarp Føroya reported that Dunga Jákup, the new freezer trawler owned by P/F Varðanum, completed a successful trial voyage on Tuesday.

The handover date has not yet been decided. Further tests and inspections are still needed, including checks of the factory on board.

Dunga Jákup is just over 49 metres long and just under 12 metres wide. Its hull was built in Poland and arrived in the Faroe Islands in December last year.

MEST at Skála completed the vessel, and Varðanum is now waiting for the shipyard to hand over the trawler.
