Two pelagic companies receive Faroese fishing permits

The companies 7 May 2026 and Katrin Jóhanna in Miðvágur have received fishing permits, Kringvarp Føroya reports.
7 May 2026 has been granted a permit to fish for mackerel, initially for the gillnet boat Gudrun. The original quotas held by Katrin Jóhanna have now been divided between the two companies.
7 May 2026 is owned by Hjarnar Krogh Dalsgaard, who bought Gudrun. Katrin Jóhanna has permits to fish for mackerel, herring and blue whiting.
Katrin Jóhanna is heading northwest from the Faroe Islands after leaving the port of Fuglafjørður late on Tuesday evening.
