22 boats receive new fishing licences after quota extension

Twenty-two boats in group 5B had received fishing licences by Tuesday after the group was granted an additional 750 fishing days, KVF reported, citing Vørn.

Group 5B includes 1,482 boats, of which 588 have fishing licences.

At the start of the fishing year, the group was allocated 3,344 days. Those days had been used up by 10 August, when 3,392 days were recorded as having been used.

On 29 August, the Faroese Parliament granted group 5B an additional 750 fishing days.
