Foreigner charged with stealing 60,000 kroner from shops

A foreign national who has been held in custody for 10 days is due to appear before the Court of the Faroe Islands, Kringvarp Føroya reports. Prosecutors say he is charged with stealing goods worth 60,000 kroner from shops in Tórshavn and Runavík.
Most of the stolen goods were clothing, along with some electronic items.
The man admits the charges. He came to the Faroe Islands to work and has been there since July.
The prosecution will ask the court to deport him.
