Foreign affairs committee meets after Iceland rejects EU talks

Iceland’s foreign affairs committee has begun reviewing the outcome of the referendum in which voters rejected continuing membership negotiations with the European Union, mbl.is reports.
Foreign Minister Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir called the meeting after the result became clear. It began at 10 a.m. in Smiðja.
Gunnarsdóttir said on Sunday that the committee would discuss what lies ahead, referring to changes in the international system.
