Suspected teenager no longer detained in murder case

The teenage boy suspected of preparing to commit murder is no longer being held, SVT reported on Monday.

“The suspicions against him remain, and intensive investigative work is under way,” prosecutor Kajsa Frisk said in a statement.

Police arrested the boy in southern Stockholm on August 24. He is suspected of preparing to commit murder and of attempted murder.

“Police are investigating whether he has links to other cases, but cannot provide any information because of confidentiality in the preliminary investigation,” Frisk said.

The suspect denies the allegations.
