Person drowns at swimming beach in Masku

A person drowned early Monday morning at Isonkiven swimming beach in Masku, Yle reported.

The emergency services centre received a report of the accident shortly before 8 a.m.

Duty fire chief Niko Kaunisto did not disclose the swimmer’s age or gender and did not comment on the cause of the accident.

Police are investigating the death and will not release further information.
