Intoxicated youths flee police in Kópavogur

Police in the capital region responded to reports of heavily intoxicated youths in Kópavogur overnight, mbl.is reports. When officers arrived, the youths ran in all directions. One, who was unable to stand because of intoxication, was taken by ambulance to an emergency department, according to the police log.

A group of youths also attacked one person in Mosfellsbær. Police said the case is under investigation in cooperation with child protection services.

One person was arrested in connection with an assault in Mosfellsbær and taken to a police station for questioning.

Police also helped another heavily intoxicated person who had attempted to walk home but gave up during the journey. Officers drove the person home.

Police recorded 74 cases between 5pm on Saturday and 5am on Sunday. Three people spent the night in detention.
