Polling stations near closing as turnout remains steady

Polling stations in Iceland are due to close in just over an hour, with ministers and representatives of No campaign groups having cast their ballots, according to mbl.is.
Polling stations have been busy, and turnout has been fairly strong. Voters still have time to cast their ballots before the stations close.
International media have closely followed the election campaign and the activities of leaders of the governing parties.
The first results are expected from the South constituency at around 10.30pm.
