With less than 24 hours before polling stations open across Iceland, mbl.is is focusing on the final stage of the campaign and the expected outcome in one of the country’s biggest political disputes in recent years.

Björn Ingi Hrafnsson, an adviser to the leader of the Centre Party, and Sólveig Anna Jónsdóttir, chair of the Efling trade union, discuss the question in the latest episode of Spursmál.

The programme was broadcast on mbl.is earlier on Friday. A recording is available to everyone through the player on the website, as well as on Spotify and YouTube.

The weekly news segment features Logi Bergmann Eiðsson and Jón Júlíus Karlsson, hosts of the popular podcast Seinni níu. They discuss the death of Haraldur, king of Norway, along with other domestic and international news.

Before that discussion, Ingibjörg Davíðsdóttir, Iceland’s former ambassador to Norway, appears on Spursmál to discuss the king’s death and the succession of Hákon VIII, who has now taken the throne in Oslo.

The programme concludes with Sigríður María Egilsdóttir, a lawyer in New York and a former deputy MP for Viðreisn. She has changed her position on Iceland’s European Union policy and plans to vote no on Saturday. She discusses the reasons for that decision.

The full programme was scheduled to air on mbl.is at 14:10. Its guests are Jón Júlíus Karlsson, Logi Bergmann Eiðsson, Sigríður María Egilsdóttir, Sólveig Anna Jónsdóttir, Björn Ingi Hrafnsson and Ingibjörg Davíðsdóttir.
